Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on Orlando City Stadium when Orlando City and New York City face each other in the MLS derby. The Lions played out a 2-2 draw with Sporting Kansas City in their last home game and it has to be noted that Brazilian veteran Kaka found the net for the Lions. Kaka is still capable of producing splendid displays at this level and seeing that Orlando City have been impressive at home ground this season, we predict that the hosts will find the net in Monday’s football match. New York City are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Lions and former Barcelona ace David Villa is likely to make life difficult for the opposition defenders. The two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment, but given Orlando’s impressive home record, we are tempted to put our money on Jason Kreis’ troops this time out.
Highligted Player (Ricardo Kaka):
Ricardo Kaka is regarded as one of the most significant MLS stars. The Brazilian ace spent six seasons (2003/2009) at Stadio San Siro with Milan and he scored 70 goals in 193 league appearances for the Rossoneri. In 2007 he helped the Serie A giants beat Liverpool in the Champions League final. Real Madrid chiefs were eager to sign Kaka and they managed to bring him to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on June 30, 2009. The Brazil international, though, was playing below expectations for Real Madrid and due to the lack of first-team football he decided to return to Milan in 2013. Kaka scored seven goals in 30 league appearances in his second spell with the Rossoneri and in 2014 he moved to MLS, signing a contract with Orlando City. Speaking of his international career, the Orlando City superstar clinched the FIFA World Cup trophy with Brazil in 2002. It has to be noted that Kaka was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007.
Highlighted Team (New York City):
New York City are an American soccer club and they have been competing in Major League Soccer since 2015. The Pigeons play their home games at Yankee Stadium and they are the second club in New York after the New York Red Bulls. Famous Arsenal player Patrick Vieira took over the reins in January, 2016 and he helped the team finish the season in second place in the Eastern Conference. However, they were totally outclassed by Toronto FC (0-7 on aggregate) in the conference semifinals. New York City chiefs have been pumping up a lot of money into the squad ever since the team began play in MLS and it has to be noted that the likes of Andrea Pirlo and David Villa played for the Pigeons in the 2016 season. New York City footballers wear sky blue shirts when playing at home, while the colour of the team’s away kit is dark blue. Companies City Football Group (80%) and Yankee Global Enterprises own the club.
