Our football match prediction:
Having suffered back-to-back defeats to the likes of Toronto and Houston Dynamo in previous two league games, Orlando City will be looking to get back on
course when they host Sporting Kansas City at their Orlando City Stadium. The Lions dropped to second place in the MLS standings at the weekend, but a win over Sporting KC would see them regain top position in the table. Brazilian ace Ricardo Kaka came as a substitute in the 4-0 loss to Houston Dynamo, but he is likely to start against Wizards and we predict that the former Real Madrid man is going to help the hosts pick up all three points from Sunday’s football match. Sporting Kansas City suffered a 2-0 loss to Minnesota United at TCF Bank Stadium in their last league game and it has to be noted that they failed to score in previous two away fixtures in MLS.
Highlighted Player (Ricardo Kaka):
Ricardo Kaka is regarded as one of the most significant MLS stars. The Brazilian ace spent six seasons (2003/2009) at Stadio San Siro with Milan and he scored 70 goals in 193 league appearances for the Rossoneri. In 2007 he helped the Serie A giants beat Liverpool in the Champions League final. Real Madrid chiefs were eager to sign Kaka and they managed to bring him to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on June 30, 2009. The Brazil international, though, was playing below expectations for Real Madrid and due to the lack of first-team football he decided to return to Milan in 2013. Kaka scored seven goals in 30 league appearances in his second spell with the Rossoneri and in 2014 he moved to MLS, signing a contract with Orlando City. Speaking of his international career, the Orlando City superstar clinched the FIFA World Cup trophy with Brazil in 2002. It has to be noted that Kaka was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007.
Highlighted Team (Sporting Kansas City):
Sporting Kansas City have been competing in Major League Soccer since 1996 and they won their first MLS Cup trophy in 2000. The club faced Chicago Fire at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington in the play-offs final and Miklos Jon Molnar scored the winner for Bob Gansler’s team. 13 years later Sporting Kansas City met with Solt Lake in the title game and they were fortunate to defeat the Royals on penalties. The Wizards welcome their rivals at Children’s Mercy Park, but they used to play some games at Blue Valley Sports Complex, Julian Field, Hermann Stadium and Durwood Soccer Stadium in the past as well. Sporting Kansas City were founded in 1995 and the club’s original name was Kansas City Wiz. The Wizards wear navy blue shirts and dark blue shorts when playing at home, while the colour of their away kit is blue. Former Wigan Athletic man Roger Espinosa is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players and he has been playing for the Children’s Mercy Park outfit since 2015.
