Our football match prediction:
This prediction will be released sColumbus Crew will be looking to hit Philadelphia Union with the second blow in just a week’s time as Jim Curtin’s men look to grab a tighter grip on the playoffs place.
Philadelphia Union were always going to have a difficult task against Columbus Crew without key players Andre Blake, Chris Ponuts, Roland Alberg, C.J. Sapong, Fafa Picault and Fabian Herbers, who all missed the last week’s match in Columbus. The Union were forced to field an unusual side with rookies Adam Najem and Marcus Epps but failed to avoid defeat and will now most certainly hope for a string of better luck in a rematch just four days later.
Columbus will hope their star playmaker Federico Higuain make it into the team after missing two matches through a right knee strain. The Crew can count themselves somewhat fortunate to have grabbed all three points from the last week’s match after Justin Meram’s deflected shot earned them a 1-0 win at MAPFRE Stadium. Sitting in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, the Crew need another win to keep up with other sides competing for their place in the playoffs.

Columbus Crew are an American soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio. The Black & Gold participate in the Eastern Conference and in 2008 they won both the conference and the MLS CUP final. The club welcome their rivals at Mapfre Stadium, the venue which was opened on May, 15 1999. The current capacity of the stadium is 19.968 and it has to be noted that Mapfre Stadium is the first soccer-specific venue ever built for a MLS club. A number of high-profile players were part of Columbus Crew in the past, but Guillermo Barros Schelotto is the most famous footballer that wore the black and yellow shirt.
