Our football match prediction:
Portland Timbers kick off their 2017 MLS campaign with a match against Minnesota United. The Timbers finished the last season in 12th place in the overall table and they are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign. Coach Caleb Porter is still in charge of the team and last season’s top scorer Fanendo Adi will be the man to watch in the home team in Saturday’s football match against Minnesota United. The newcomers are eager to impress on their MLS debut, but beating Portland at Providence Park is easier said than done. The Timbers are a real force to be reckoned with at home and we predict that they will defeat Adrian Heath’s charges in their opener. Experienced defender Liam Ridgwell is likely to start for the hosts and the former Premier League footballer is likely to play an important role in Caleb Porter’s team.
