Our football match prediction:
Real Salt Lake will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to the likes of Houston Dynamo and Dallas when they square off against Minnesota United at their Rio Tinto Stadium. The Royals conceded 11 goals in total in previous two league fixtures and, no doubt, the hosts are low on confidence ahead of Sunday’s football game. However, Real Salt Lake did well to beat the likes of New York City and Philadelphia Union in previous two home games in MLS and that is giving them a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of the Loons. Minnesota United suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City in their last away game in the league and seeing that their performances on the road leave a lot to be desired, we predict that the Royals will emerge triumphant in Sunday’s clash. The Loons outplayed Real Salt Lake at TCF Bank Stadium earlier this season, meaning that the hosts are hungry for revenge.
Highlighted Player (Yura Movsisyan):
Yura Movsisyan is a Real Salt Lake City footballer who plays for Armenian national team as well. Movsisyan was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, but his family moved to the United States while he was a boy and, as a result, he started his youth career at Pasadena Lancers. Following a one year of college soccer, Kansas City Wizards chiefs offered him a professional contract. The Armenian attacker scored five goals in 28 league appearances for the Wizards and in 2007 he signed for Real Salt Lake City. After spending two seasons at the MLS club, Movsisyan moved to Europe, signing a deal with Danish side Randers. Speaking of his stay in Russia, the Armenia international played for the likes of Krasnodar and Spartak Moscow and he scored no less than 48 goals in the Russian top flight. In 2017 he returned to Salt Lake City and he is expected to play an important role in Jeff Cassar’s team in the 2017 MLS campaign. Movsisyan made his Armenia debut on August 11, 2010 in a friendly against Iran.
Highlighted Team (Minnesota United):
Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season. Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference. Adrian Heath will be in charge of the club in the 2017 season and it has to be noted that the English tactician used to train the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Espanyol in the past. You should know that the club was founded on March 25, 2015.
