Our prediction for this Nations League match:
Having Belarus and San Marino in their group in the League of Nations will provide these two teams with some hope that they might get something out of it in the end. They have played against each other four times. Moldova beat them in 2003, but since then, they played out three goalless draws. The game will be played at the Josy Barthel Stadium in Lëtzebuerg. Luxembourg has a better record in their last ten matches where they have recorded four victories, three draws and three defeats. Their last game was a 1:0 win against Georgia in a friendly game. They have even beaten Belarus last year, who are with them in Group 2. Moldova have no wins in their last 10 matches. Last time they won was in March 2017 where they beat the other fellow group member, San Marino. Luxembourg should prevail in this game and start the League of Nations with a win.
Highlighted Player (Chris Philipps):

Born in Luxembourg City on March 8, 1994, Chris Philipps is a professional footballer who plays for Ligue 1 side Metz. Philipps made 39 appearances for Metz B before making his debut to the first team on May 23, 2013 in a 1-0 loss to Boulogne.
The Luxembourg international signed a loan deal with SC Preusen Munster in 2015 and it has to be noted that he played 25 games for the German side in the league. Chris Philipps made his debut for Luxembourg national football team on February 29, 2012 in a 2-1 win over Macedonia. His main position is defensive midfield, but he is used as a centre-back as well.
Chris Philipps, whose contract with Metz should expire in June 2018, made only 11 appearances for les Grenats in the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign, but, no doubt, he helped the club secure promotion to the French top flight.
Highlighted Team (Moldova):

Seeing that they were a part of Soviet Union until 1991, Moldova played their first game as an independent country on July 2, 1991. The Moldovans were beaten by Georgina in front of home fans in Chisinau, but the following year the team recorded their biggest win on the international stage as they rolled over Pakistan 5-0 in Amman, Jordan.
The former Soviet republic have yet to qualify for the finals of the World Cup or the European Championship, but they recorded a couple of thrilling wins in the past. Moldova crushed Montenegro 5-2 in Podgorica in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, but they eventually failed to book their place at the showpiece tournament in Brazil.
The Moldovans were producing fine showings under Igor Dobrovolskiy in the 2008 European Championship qualifiers as well and it has to be noted that they hammered Hungary 3-0 at Stadionul Zimbru on November 17, 2007. Russian Premier League star Alexandru Gatcan is considered one of the most famous Moldavian footballers.
