Our prediction for this Nations League match:
San Marino and Luxembourg are in the lower echelon of European football. Still, they are going to try their best in these group stage games. The match at the Olympic Stadium in Serravalle will be the first time these small countries meet on the football ground. Luxembourg is a much stronger footballing side than San Marino who tend to suffer hard defeats. They have only two wins in the last 14 years, one against Liechtenstein and the other against Bellaria Igea. Luxembourg, on the other hand, have four wins in their last 10 matches, including their surprise win against Georgia in a friendly in June. Apart from those wins, they have three draws and three defeats. If Luxembourg beats San Marino in both games and somehow manages to get something out of the Moldova games, they might hope for a second spot in the group. It’s all to play for.
Highlighted Player (Chris Philipps):

Born in Luxembourg City on March 8, 1994, Chris Philipps is a professional footballer who plays for Ligue 1 side Metz. Philipps made 39 appearances for Metz B before making his debut to the first team on May 23, 2013 in a 1-0 loss to Boulogne.
The Luxembourg international signed a loan deal with SC Preusen Munster in 2015 and it has to be noted that he played 25 games for the German side in the league. Chris Philipps made his debut for Luxembourg national football team on February 29, 2012 in a 2-1 win over Macedonia. His main position is defensive midfield, but he is used as a centre-back as well.
Chris Philipps, whose contract with Metz should expire in June 2018, made only 11 appearances for les Grenats in the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign, but, no doubt, he helped the club secure promotion to the French top flight.
Highlighted Team (Luxembourg):

Luxembourg national football team is controlled by Luxembourg Football Federation and they play their home games at Stade Josy Barthel. Les Lions Rouges have never qualified for the finals of a major tournament, but they often make life difficult for European teams in the qualifiers.
Luxembourg defeated Macedonia in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, but a victory over Czech Republic in the 1996 European Championship qualifying match is considered the team’s biggest success. Les Lions Rouges play their home matches in red shirts and red shorts, while they wear white jerseys and white shorts when playing on the travels.
Jeff Strasser is both the most famous and the most capped Luxembourg player and it has to be noted that the former Bundesliga player made 98 appearances for the national team. Luxembourg recorded their biggest win against Afghanistan (6-0), in the match that was played in London in 1948. Speaking of their biggest defeat, Luxembourg were outclassed by England 9-0 on two occasions (1960, 1982).
