Our prediction for this Nations League match:
Serbia will be aiming to clinch top position in League C Group 4 with yet another win over Montenegro. The Serbs proved their worth in a 2-0 win over the Montenegrins in Podgorica, but Ljubisa Tumbakovic could not count on several first-team regulars back then. The good news for Serbia fans is that Nemanja Matic and Aleksandar Kolarov return to the squad after missing the game against Romania and, no doubt, they are going to help the Eagles improve their game. Montenegro are still without important defender Stefan Savic and seeing that Monaco attacker Stevan Jovetic is out of contention as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Mladen Krstajic’s men, who are eager to clinch top position in the standings. Fulham attacker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has been scoring goals for fun in the UEFA Nations League, is likely to lead the line for the hosts.
Highlighted Player (Branislav Ivanovic):
Over the years Branislav Ivanovic has established himself as one of the best defenders in the world football. Bane plays as a centre back, but he is capable of playing as a full back as well. The Serbian defender has been playing for Chelsea since 2008 and he used to play for the likes of Srem, OFK Beograd and Lokomotiv Moscow in the past as well.
Ivanovic leaves his heart on the field in every single match and that is the main reason why the fans love him. He is known for his aerial ability as well and it has to be noted that he has scored 22 goals for Chelsea since arriving to Stamford Bridge in 2008.
The Serbian footballer has won two Premier League trophies with the Blues, but the Champions League trophy won in 2012 is considered the biggest success of his career. Branislav is married to Natasa, who gave birth to his four children.
Highlighted Team (Montenegro):
Montenegro is yet another former Yugoslavian republic. The Montenegrins declared their independence in 2006 and they played their first official match under the name of Montenegro in March, 2007. The Hrabri sokoli defeated Hungary in their first official game, with the team coming from behind to beat the Hungarians. Serie A superstar Mirko Vucinic and Igor Burzanovic scored for Montenegro in the 2-1 triumph over Hungary. Montenegro national football team participated in the UEFA Euro 2012 playoffs and that is regarded as the team’s biggest success. The Hrabri sokoli faced Czech Republic in the double-header, but they eventually failed to book their place at the showpiece tournament in Poland and Ukraine. Aforementioned attacker Mirko Vucinic is seen as one of the most famous footballers who played for the Montenegro national team, but we should mention former Manchester City ace Stevan Jovetic as well. Montenegro play their home games at Stadion Pod Goricom and they recorded their biggest win against San Marino (6-0) in September, 2012.
