Our football match prediction:
Following a goalless draw with Azerbaijan in Baku in their UEFA Nations League opener, Kosovo did well to beat Faroe Islands in their second group game. Bernard Challandes’ troops undisputedly produce much better showings at home than on the travels and it is no surprise they are considered hot favourites to win Thursday’s football match against Malta. A man to watch in the home side will be Sheffield Wednesday striker Atdhe Nuhiu, who found the net in the 2-0 win over Faroe Islands. Malta, on the other hand, suffered a 3-1 loss to Faroe Islands in the opening match of their Nations League campaign, but they managed to hold Azerbaijan to a 1-1 draw in their second group game. Anyhow, seeing that Kosovo have been in a fine form of late, we predict that Bernard Challandes’ charges are going to pick up all three points from the Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri clash.
Highlighted Player (Milot Rashica):
Milot Rashica is a Kosovo Albanian player who was born on June 28, 1996 in Vucitrn, FR Yugoslavia. Rashica is a product of FC Vushtrria football academy and he continued playing for the Ferki Aliu Stadium outfit at senior level. Milot Rashica is a winger, but he is used as an attacking midfielder as well and it has to be noted that his preferred foot is right. Nowadays, the Albanian footballer plays for Vitesse in Dutch Eredivisie and he has established himself as a first-team regular at the club. Milot Rashica made his Vitesse debut on July 30, 2015, coming as a substitute for Serbia international Uros Djurdjevic in a 3-0 defeat to Southampton in the Europa League qualifiers. Speaking of his Eredivisie debut, Rashica played his first match for Vitesse in the Dutch elite division on August 9, 2015 in a 1-1 draw with Willem II. The Vitesse footballer has six caps for Albania U21 team, but he represents Kosovo at senior level.
Highlighted Team (Malta):
Back in 1957 Malta played their first international match. The Falcons faced Austria in their debut on the international stage and they suffered a 3-2 loss to Das Team in front of home fans in Gzira. The Malta Football Association joined FIFA in 1959, while joining UEFA the following year and they have been competing in the qualifiers for the major tournaments since 1962. The Knights of Malta have yet to participate at the finals of the showpiece tournaments, but they often claim major scalps in the qualifying matches. Malta recorded their biggest win (7-1) against Liechtenstein on March 26, 2008, but a win over Hungary in the Euro 2008 qualifiers is considered their biggest achievement. Speaking of friendly games, it has to be noted that Malta did remarkably well to beat star-studded Ukraine in Graz on June 6, 2017, with Zach Muscat scoring the winner for the minnows. In December 1983 the Maltese suffered their heaviest loss as they were crushed by Spain 12-1 in Seville.
