Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
After dropping two points in a 1-1 draw with Zwolle, AZ Alkmaar will be aiming to record their first win of the season when they face Fortuna Sittard on Saturday evening. The Cheeseheads showed character in their first game of the season, with the team scoring the equalizing goal with ten men on the field, and that is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Saturday’s clash.
Even though influential midfielder Calvin Stengs is sidelined through suspension, away win should be considered as Fortuna Sittard as seen as one of the main candidates for relegation. The hosts failed to impress in back-to-back defeats to Heerenveen and Twente, and we do not believe that they are capable of matching AZ Alkmaar at their Fortuna Sittard Stadion. You should bear in mind that AZ are eyeing their sixth consecutive win over Fortuna in the Eredivisie.
