Our prediction for this Norway Eliteserien match:
Valerenga will be aiming to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Bodo/Glimt when they welcome Mjondalen at their Ulleval Stadion. The Pride of Oslo aim to stay in the race for a place in European competitions, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play in Saturday’s football game. Midfielder Fredrik Oldrup Jensen, who picked up a knock in the Aspmyra Stadion defeat, is unlikely to feature against Mjondalen.
It has to be noted that Valerenga are on a three-game winning run at home in the Norwegian top flight. Mjondalen, on the other hand, are fighting hard to avoid relegation to the Norwegian second tier. The relegation strugglers are on a five-game losing run in the Eliteserien, and given their shaky defence, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. Shuaibu Lalle Ibrahim is likely to miss the game through injury.
