Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Estadio do CD das Aves will host Wednesday’s football match between Aves and Moreirense. Aves continue to struggle in Primeira Liga, and given the lack of motivation in the home side, it is no surprise Moreirense are seen as favourites to win the match. Even though French attacker Kevin Yamga returns from suspension for the hosts, we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing something from the match.
Os verdes e brancos, on the other hand, shared the spoils with Famalicao in their last league match to cement their spot in the middle of the table. A win over Aves would see Moreirense secure the Primeira Liga survival, and seeing that the game will be played behind closed doors, away win should be considered. Boss Vitor Campelos has a full squad to choose from, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Mahmoud Kahraba):
Mahmoud Kahraba is an Egyptian footballer who plays for the Primeira Liga club, Aves. Born in Cairo, Egypt, on April 13, 1994, Kahraba is a product of the Al Ahly football school. He continued his development at ENPPI, where he was given a chance to taste first-team football.
After scoring eight goals in 35 appearances for the Egyptian club, Kahraba moved to Zamalek in 2015. It has to be noted that he played for Swiss clubs Luzern and Grasshopper on loan as well before signing a contract with the Royal Club. In July 2016, the Egypt international signed a loan deal with Al-Ittihad.
After scoring 20 goals in 44 appearances for the club, Kahraba joined Portuguese outfit Aves in 2019. The pacey winger made his Primeira Liga debut on August 23, 2019, in a 5-1 loss to Rio Ave, and he scores his first goal in the Portuguese top flight in a 3-2 defeat to Famalicao a week later.
Highlighted Team (Moreirense):
Moreirense are a Portuguese football club based in Moreira de Conegos. Founded on November 1, 1938, Os verdes e brancos welcome their rivals at Parque Moreira de Conegos Guimaraes, the venue which can hold up to 9,000 spectators.
Moreirense wear green and white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst black and red are the dominant colours of their away kit. In the 2016/2017 season Os verdes e brancos did well to win the Taca da Liga trophy, with the team beating Braga 1-0 in the title game.
Caue scored the winner for Moreirense on the stroke of half time. Moreirense impressed in the 2018/2019 Primeira Liga season, finishing the process in sixth position in the standings. The club missed out on a place in the Europa League on goal difference to Vitoria de Guimaraes. Penafiel are considered one of the club’s main rivals.
