Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Sunday’s football game at Estadio de Sao Luis pits together Farense and Ferreira. Leoes de Faro were more than unfortunate not to grab something from the game against Sporting CP, with the Lisbon Lions scoring a late winner from the penalty spot. Farense are eager to escape the relegation zone in the Primeira Liga standings, and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail against Ferreira.
Os Castores, on the other hand, aim to climb to the Europa League berth, and seeing that both sides will go for a win in Sunday’s clash, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Farense first-choice goalkeeper Rafael Defendi is sidelined through suspension, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. It has to be noted that Ferreira recorded a 2-1 win over Farense in their last meeting in a competitive match.
Highlighted Player (Djalma ):
Born in Luanda, Angola on May 30, 1987, Djalma Campos is a forward who plays for Farense in Primeira Liga. Djalma played for the likes of Loures, CAC Pontinha, and Alverca during his youth career before joining Maritimo B in 2006.
The Angola international then played for the Maritimo senior team, scoring 19 goals in 96 appearances for O Maior das Ilhas. In May 2011, Djalma signed a deal with the famous Portuguese club Porto, but he scored no more than one goal in 14 appearances in Primeira liga for the Dragons.
The pacey attacker played for the likes of Kasimpasa, Konyaspor, Genclerbirligi, PAOK, and Alanyaspor as well before joining his current club Farense. His primary position is right winger, but he is used as both left winger and attacking midfielder as well. Djalma has a dual citizenship (Angola/Portugal), and his contract with Farense should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Ferreira):
Founded on April 5, 1950, Pacos de Ferreira are a Portuguese football club who play their home games at Estadio da Mata Real. The venue can hold up to 9,077 people and it was opened in October 7, 1973. Os Castores are well known for their yellow shirts and green shorts, with the team wearing white and black kit when playing on the travels.
Pacos de Ferreira have yet to win the Primeira Liga trophy, but they did well to make it to the Taca de Portugal final in the 2008/2009 season. Os Castores faced Porto in the title game, with the Dragons attacker Lisandro Lopez scoring the only game of the match.
Two seasons later Pacos de Ferreira faced Benfica in the Taca da Liga final, with the Eagles lifting the trophy. Wolverhampton forward Diogo Jota is one of notable footballers who started their senior careers at Pacos de Ferreira.
