Our match prediction:
Thanks to Mehmet Topal’s late goal Fenerbahce recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sporting Braga in the Europa League last 16, first leg and they will now try to defend their slim lead in Thursday’s football game at Estadio AXA. The Turkish outfit have been impressive at the back of late and they are certainly capable of keeping their third consecutive clean sheet in all competitions. It is well known that Braga are a real force to be reckoned with at home, but scoring against the in-form Fener is easier said than done. We predict that one goal is going to separate the two sides in Thursday’s encounter, with Vitor Pereira’s men emerging triumphant once again. You should bear in mind that under 2.5 goals were scored in each of Fenerbahce’s last seven games in the Europa League. A man to watch in the away side will be experienced attacker Robin van Persie.
