Our football match prediction:
Arsene Wenger can be proud on his men after beating Olympiakos 0-3 and thereby qualify for the knock out stage of the Champions League. Arsenal impressed by defending solid and the amount of attacks. In the 16th round Arsenal will travel towards Birmingham for the game against Aston Villa. Aston Villa is currently rock bottom in the Premier League and only managed to win 1 game so far this season. Arsenal on the other hand is placed second and has only 2 points less than leader Leicester City and had no problem beating Aston Villa last season twice (4-0 and 5-0). We predict Arsenal to easily walk over Aston Villa; despite the many injuries Giroud and Walcott are showing to be a strong duo. Midfielder Ozil's creativity can break down the Aston Villa defense easily.
Highlighted Player (Theo Walcott):
Theo James Walcott is an English football player with roots from Jamaica born on 16th of March 1989 in London. Walcott started his football career for AFC Newbury and after scoring over 100 goals in his first season Southampton signed the young Walcott. After 2 seasons playing for the Saints scoring 4 goals in 21games Arsenal transferred Walcott to London for approximately 12 million GBP where he signed a 1 million GBP per year contract by the age of 17. Walcott is known for being a very fast right-winger but is able to play as a striker as well. Walcott can be used very effectively to set up a counter attack but is the type of offensive player that is very dependant on the rest of the team. Despite his young age Walcott made his debut for the English national team in May 2006 and played for over 40 games in the national team already. One of Walcott’s biggest weaknesses are his height (only 173cm) and the fact he get’s injured very quickly. Walcott won the FA Cup in 2013/2014 and 2014/15 with Arsenal and the Community Shield in 2015. During the World Cup in 2014 Walcott was injured.
Highlighted Team (Aston Villa):
Aston Villa are one of the three clubs that dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. The Villans host their rivals at Villa Park, the stadium that was opened in 1897 and its’ capacity is 42,682. However, it has to be noted that the highest attendance recorded at the stadium was 76,588 when Aston Villa faced Derby County in the FA Cup back in 1946. Aston Villa’s fiercest rivals are Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Nonetheless, the rivalry between Aston Villa and Wolves and Coventry City is big as well. Aston Villa have won seven First Division (Premier League) trophies, with the team clinching seven FA Cup trophies as well. The team’s biggest success, though, came in 1982 when they won the European Cup. The Villans defeated Bayern Munich (1-0) in the title game and Peter Withe was named the man of the match.
