Our football match prediction:
Manchester City crushed West Ham at London Stadium on Matchday 23, but they fail to impress in Sunday’s football game against Swansea City. However, thanks to Gabriel Jesus’ goals the Citizens defeated the Welsh outfit at their Etihad Stadium and they will be looking to extend their winning run to four games in all competitions when they square off against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium. Kun Aguero lost his place in the starting line-up, but aforementioned attacker Gabriel Jesus has been scoring goals for fun of late and he is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders. Bournemouth experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 6-3 loss to Everton and seeing that key attacker Callum Wilson misses the match with injury, we predict that the Citizens will emerge triumphant in Monday’s clash at Vitality Stadium. Manchester City recorded a 4-0 win over Bournemouth in the reverse fixture.
Highlighted Player (Afobe):
Benik Afobe is a 183-cm-tall striker who plays for Bournemouth. Afobe is a product of Arsenal youth academy, but he did not make his first-team debut with the Gunners. After spending several seasons on loan at Huddersfield Town, Reading, Bolton, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday and Milton Keynes Dons, Afobe signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Wolverhampton on 14 January, 2015. The pacey attacker scored 22 goals in 46 appearances for Wolves and, as a result, Bournemouth chiefs decided to sign him on 10 January, 2016. Benik scored 4 goals in 12 appearances for the Cherries in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign and, no doubt, he helped the team secure the top flight survival. It has to be noted that Afobe won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with England back in 2010. The former Wolves attacker was born in Leyton, England on 12 February, 1993. Benik Afobe is capable of playing as a secondary striker as well.
Highlighted Team (Manchester City):
Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight. Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), butboth managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097. Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
