Chelsea is currently in a terrible form with a 13th position in the table. Everton is placed 9th which is modest. Jose Mourinho's squad is showing a lack in confidence in the way they play. With only 1 victory this season the Blues are having one of the baddest starts in the last years. Both Everton and Chelsea don't want to lose this game in order to stay in track of their ambition. Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku will face his former manager Jose Mourinho which sold him to Everton and will be eager to hurt Chelsea.

Born in Arenys de Mar on 4 May, 1987, Cesc Fabregas began his football career at Mataro. After spending two years at Mataro, Cesc joined Barcelona in 1997 and six years later the Spanish midfielder signed a deal with Arsenal. Fabregas played for Arsenal for eight years (2003-2011) and in 2011 he turned his dream into reality and returned to Barca. In 2014 the 29-year-old footballer joined Premier League side Chelsea. Fabregas won the 2012/2013 La Liga title with Barcelona, while lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy with Chelsea. Cesc did not win the Premier League title with Arsenal, but he helped the capital club lift the FA Cup trophy in 2005. On the other hand, the Chelsea midfielder recorded much better results with the Spain national team as he won the European Championship trophy in 2008 and 2012, while winning the FIFA World Cup title in 2010. Fabregas made his debut for la Roja in March, 2006.

Everton are one of the two Merseyside giants that were formed back in 1878, with the club holding a long-standing rivalry with Liverpool. Everton have participated in the English top flight for a record 113 seasons, with the team competing in the English second tier in just four camaigns. The Toffees play their home matches at Goodison Park, the stadium that was opened in 1892. Everton have won the national championship nine times, with the team winning their last domestic trophy back in 1987. The Toffees have clinched five FA Cup trophies as well and it has to be noted that a victory over Manchester United in the 1994/1995 FA Cup final helped the team win their last title in the prestigious competition. Everton and Liverpool face each other in the Merseyside derby and the clash between the two local rivals has been called the Merseyside derby since 1955. In the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign Everton were hammered by Liverpool (0-4) at Anfield.
