Our football match prediction:
There will be fireworks when Everton and Liverpool square off against each other in the Merseyside derby. The Toffees are brimming with confidence following a come-from-behind win over Arsenal and they can’t wait for the local derby to begin. Ronald Koeman’s men, though, recorded only one win in previous six league matches and, no doubt, the hosts would be happy with one point from Monday’s football game. Liverpool, on the other hand, have been producing outstanding displays under Jurgen Klopp this term and they totally outplayed Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium in midweek. Adam Lallana has been scoring goals for fun of late and we predict that the opposition defenders are likely to have their work cut out for them when facing the former Southampton man. The Reds are determined to stay in the race for the title and seeing that they scored 3+ goals in three of their previous four away fixtures in the league, we believe that the visitors will emerge triumphant in the Merseyside derby.
Highlighted Player (Mirallas):
Kevin Mirallas is a Belgian footballer player born on 5th October 1987, who started showing his potential at a very young age. After coming through the youth ranks at Standard Liege, the forward moved to Lille in 2004 and he impressed playing for les Dogues, scoring 10 goals in 76 league appearances. The move to Saint Etienne did not work out as planned, but a two-year stint at Olympiakos that followed helped the player get his career back on track. Having scored 34 goals in 52 league outings, Mirallas decided to join Everton and he enjoyed a bright start to his career in England. However, just like the entire team, the highly rated footballer suffered a serious dip in form and he has struggled for playing time over the last couple of years. Mirallas has made over 50 appearances for the Belgium national team, representing the Red Devils at the 2014 World Cup and Eur0 2016 finals, scoring 9 goals in first 50 caps.
Highlighted Team (Liverpool):
Founded back in 1892, Liverpool are one of England’s and world’s most famous clubs. The Reds hold a high-profile rivalry with Everton and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the Merseyside derby. The Reds welcome their opponents at Anfield and it has to be noted that they have already won 18 first division trophies. Liverpool were on the verge of lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy, but Steven Gerrard slipped in the decider against Chelsea and left the Reds without a title. Liverpool won their last Champions League trophy in 2005, with the team coming from three goals behind to beat Milan in a historic clash in Istanbul. The Reds have clinched five European Cups and it is no surprise they are regarded as one of the greatest European clubs. The likes of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, Paul Ince, Ian Rush, Graeme Souness, Sami Hyypia and Luis Suarez are some of the most notable footballers to have represented the club over the years. The club’s anthem is You’ll Never Walk Alone and their shirt colour is red.
