Our football match prediction:
The John Smith’s Stadium will host Saturday’s football match between Huddersfield Town and West Ham United. Huddersfield are four points clear of the relegation zone ahead of Matchday 23 and they are on a four-game winless run in the national championship. However, the Terriers regained a much-needed confidence at the weekend as they defeated Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup and they are definitely capable of grabbing something from the Premier League clash against West Ham. The Hammers did remarkably well to hold Tottenham Hotspur to a 1-1 draw at Wembley Stadium in their last league fixture, but they are still sitting in the danger zone in the Premier League table. The two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we predict they are going to share the spoils at the John Smith’s Stadium. In five of their last six meetings in the Premier League under 2.5 goals have been netted and yet another low-scoring affair is on the horizon.
Highlighted Player (Aaron Mooy):
Aaron Mooy is an Australian footballer who playes for Huddersfield Town as a midfielder. Mooy was born in Sydney on September 15, 1990 and at the age of 16 he joined English club Bolton Wanderers. The midfielder played for the youth team of Bolton from 2006 to 2009, but he did not make his first-team debut for the club. In 2010 he joined St. Mirren and after scoring one goal in 21 appearances in the league for the Scottish outfit, Aaron Mooy returned to Australia, signing a contract with Western Sydney Wanderers. In 2014 he joined fellow Australian club Melbourne City and two years later he decided to return to England. Aaron Mooy signed a three-year deal with Manchester City in June, 2016, but he was immediately sent on loan to Championship side Huddersfield Town. In the summer of 2015 the Australia international joined the Terriers on a permanent basis. His main position is central midfield, but he can play as both defensive and attacking midfielder as well.
Highlighted Team (West Ham United):
West Ham United are an English football club based in East London. The club was founded in 1895 and it has to be noted that the club’s name was Thames Ironworks back then. The Hammers were playing their home games at Upton Park from 1904 until 2016, when they moved to the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. West Ham have won three FA Cup trophies (1964, 1975 and 1980) and they were runners-up in 1923 and 2006. The capital club finished the 1985/1986 England first division campaign in third place in the standings and that is the club’s highest placing in the top flight. West Ham United have strong rivalries with fellow London clubs, but Tottenham Hotspur are considered the club’s main rivals. A number of top-class players were part of West Ham in the past and the likes of Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez, Paolo Di Canio, Paul Ince, Julian Dicks, Shaka Hislop, Michael Carrick and Slaven Bilic are some of them.
