Our football match prediction:
Pep Guardiola won La Liga with Barcelona, he clinched the Bundesliga trophy with Bayern Munich and he is now on a quest to win the Premier League with Manchester City. The Citizens kick off the 2016/2017 Premier League campaign with a match against Sunderland and they are regarded as favourites on paper to emerge triumphant in Saturday’s football game. The likes of Nolito and Gundogan joined the club in the summer transfer window and the duo is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders in the Etihad Stadium clash. The Black Cats were more than fortunate not to drop to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign and given that they often struggle on the travels, we predict that David Moyes’ troops are going to return home empty-handed. You should bear in mind that Manchester City are after their sixth consecutive win over Sunderland in all competitions.
Highlighted Player (Aguero):
Sergio Aguero was born on 2 June, 1988 in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Sergio’s nickname is Kun and he used to play for Independiente and Atletico Madrid in the past. The Manchester City attacker has won two Premier League trophies with the Etihad Stadium outfit (2011/2012, 2013/2014) and he played in the Champions League semi-final with the Citizens in the 2015/2016 season. However, Real Madrid proved to be a big catch for Kun Aguero and his teammates in the semis of the elite competition. The Argentine forward won the Olympic Gold Medal with the national team in 2008, while lifting the FIFA U-20 World Cup trophy on two occasions (2005, 2007). Aguero scored 24 goals in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but that did not help Manuel Pellegrini’s troops win the national championship. Kun was married to Diego Maradona’s daughter Gianinna, but the couple separated in 2012. Giannina gave birth to their son Benjamin in 2009.
Highlighted Team (Sunderland):
Sunderland are a professional football club that have been playing their home games at the Stadium of Light since 1997. The capacity of the stadium is 49,000, but before expansion the original ground capacity was 42,000. Red and White shirts are Sunderland’s trademark and the club’s fiercest rivals are Newcastle United. The two local rivals have been contesting in the Tyne-Wear derby since 1898 and there have always been fireworks in what is one of the greatest derbies in English football. Sunderland were on the verge of dropping to the Championship in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but experienced tactician Sam Allardyce eventually helped the team avoid relegation. The Black Cats have won six First Division trophies (now the Premier League), with the team lifting two FA Cup titles. Sudnerland won their first FA Cup trophy in 1937, with the team beating Prestson North End 3-1 in the title game. The club was founded in 1879 as Sunderland and District Teachers A.F.C.
