Our football match prediction:
Manchester United did not kick off the new Premier League campaign in style, but the English giants have been in a thrilling form of late. The Red Devils are on a four-match winning run in the league and they produced a splendid performance in a 3-1 win over Sunderland on Boxing Day. Zlatan Ibrahimovic provided two assists for his teammates, while adding one goal to his account in the Old Trafford game and we predict that the Swedish veteran is going to prove a handful for Middlesbrough defenders. Jose Mourinho’s men seem to be on top of their game at the moment and Aitor Karanka’s men, who struggle on the travels, are unlikely to grab something from Saturday’s football match. Wayne Rooney should recover in time to face Boro and, taking everything into account, the Red Devils are likely to extend their winning run in the Premier League to five matches.
Highlighted Player (Schneiderlin):
Morgan Schneiderlin is a French football player born on 8th of November 1989 in Zellwiller. Schneiderlin started his football career for RC Strasbourg where he made his debut in 2006/2007 for the first team. After playing for 231 games for Southampton he made a transfer to Manchester United in summer 2015 for approximately 34 million euro. Schneiderlin made his debut for the French national tam in June 2014 after his impressive performances for Southampton. Schneiderlin played for more than 10 games in the French national team and will play a lot more in the near future. Schneiderlin is a right-footed defensive midfielder which is known for playing very rough and is not afraid to tackle his direct opponent. In the season 2012/2013 Schneiderlin was rewarded as player of the year for Southampton. The football career of Schneiderlin is remarkable showing that it’s possible for every hard working football player to reach the top. In 10 seasons of professional football the only prize Schneiderlin won was the Football League Trophy with Southampton in 2009/2010.
Highlighted Team (Middlesbrough):
Middlesbrough are a professional football club that have been balancing between the top two divisions of England’s league system in the modern history. Boro have been playing their home games at the Riverside Stadium since 1995 and their shirt colour is red. The capacity of the Riverside Stadium is 34,742. Middlesbrough impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and they did really well to secure promotion to the English top flight. Newcastle United and Sunderland are regarded as the club’s main rivals, but there is a rivalry with Leeds United as well. Middlesbrough made it to the FA Cup final in 1997, but Chelsea proved to be a big catch for the Boro in the title game (0-2). However, the Riverside Stadium outfit did remarkably well to win the League Cup trophy in 2004, with the team beating Bolton Wanderers in the final. George Boateng, Stewart Downing, Juninho Paulista, Gareth Southgate, Jonathan Woodgate, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Tuncay Sanli and Hamilton Ricard are the star footballers who left their mark at Middlesbrough.
