Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Despite failing to impress in the 2017/2018 Premier League campaign, Southampton eventually managed to secure yet another top flight survival. The Saints aim to make a flying start to the new season and we predict that they will adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s football game against Burnley. Dusan Tadic is no longer part of the team, but seeing that Southampton are tough to beat at home, we predict that they are going to grab something from the opening match of the season. The Clarets, on the other hand, will play on four fronts in the upcoming season, but they are definitely capable of repeating the last season’s success, when they finished seventh. New Zealand attacker Chris Wood, who scored in a 3-1 win over Aberdeen in the Europa League qualifiers, is likely to lead the line for the visitors against Southampton. Anyhow, the two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment and share of spoils is on the horizon.

Highlighted Player (Steven Davis):

Born in Ballymena on 1 January 1985, Steven Davis is probably the most famous Northern Irish footballer of the 21st century, and he was one of team’s youngest ever captains, having been awarded the armband just over a year after making his debut for the national team.
The combative midfielder has spent his entire career up to date in the UK, enjoying successful spells with Aston Villa, Fulham, Rangers and Southampton, while representing the country of his birth at various youth levels before getting a chance to shine at the biggest stage.
Davis soon established himself as a leader of the Northern Ireland football team, missing just a handful of competitive fixtures since making his debut in 2005. The central midfielder scored 2 goals to help the national team finally secure their place at a major tournament, with an impressive Euro 2016 qualifying campaign likely to remain fresh in the minds of both the players and fans alike in years to come.
Highlighted Team (Burnley):

Burnley were one of the founding members of the Football League back in 1888. The Clarets did remarkably well to win the FA Cup trophy back in 1914 and the club owners have been trying to bring glory days back to Turf Moor ever since.
Burnley defeated Liverpool in the 1913/1914 FA Cup final and, no doubt, this is regarded as the greatest achievement in the club’s history. The Clarets finished the 2015/2016 Championship campaign in top position in the standings and, as a result, they will participate in the English Premier League in the 2016/2017 season.
Burnley play their home games at Turf Moor and the capacity of the stadium is 21,401. The Clarets have won two Community Shield trophies so far, in 1960 and 1973, but they have yet to clinch the Premier League title. Claret is the dominant colour of the team’s home shirts.
