Our prediction for this Premier League match:
St. Mary’s Stadium will host Sunday’s Premier League game between Southampton and Sheffield United. The Saints have been producing fine displays in the first half of the season, and, as a result, they sit in top ten ahead of Matchday 12. Since Danny Ings has overcome his injury, home win should be considered. It has to be noted that Southampton are eyeing their fourth home win of the season.
The Blades, on the other hand, continue to struggle in the English top flight. Sheffield United have collected only one point from possible 33 in the process, and it is no wonder they are seen as underdogs in Sunday’s showdown. Boss Chris Wilder is under big pressure ahead of the trip to Hampshire, but given Southampton’s fine start to the season, the visitors are likely to return to the “Steel City” empty-handed.

Highlighted Player (Shane Long):

Shane Long is an Irish international striker who has so far made over 60 appearances for the Republic of Ireland national team, scoring more than 15 goals in the process. The forward began his professional career at Cork City, but only made one league appearance for the club ahead of the switch to Reading, where he would go on to spend next seven years.
During that time, Long established himself as one of the best Irish strikers plying their trade in England, and also went on to represent West Bromwich Albion, Hull City and Southampton.
Despite not exactly boasting an enviable goalscoring record for a centre forward, Long was always held in high regard by both managers and his peers, with his incredible work rate and never-say-die attitude winning him plenty of admirers. Long will also go down as one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the Republic of Ireland national team, which he represented at the Euro 2012 and Euro 2016 finals.
Highlighted Team (Sheffield United):

Sheffield United are a professional football club that compete in the Championship. The Blades finished the 2016/2017 League One campaign in top position in the standings, with the team collecting exactly 100 points in the process. Sheffield United last competed in the Premier League in the 2006/2007 season and they were more than unfortunate not to secure the top flight survival.
The Blades finished the season in 18th place in the process and it has to be noted that they were level on points with Wigan Athletic, who managed to avoid the relegation to the English second tier. Sheffield United welcome their rivals at Bramal Lane, the stadium which was opened on April 30, 1855. The current capacity of the venue is 32.702.
The club have numerous rivalries, but the most notable one is the rivalry with their city neighbors Sheffield Wednesday. The two teams face each other in the Steel City derby and it has to be noted that United share rivalry with the likes of Barnsley, Rotherham United, Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United as well.
