Our football match prediction:
Wednesday’s football game at Bet365 Stadium pits together Stoke City and Liverpool. Stoke City are on a three-game winless run in the Premier League ahead of the visit of Liverpool and they sit in the danger zone in the standings at the moment. Mark Hughes’ men are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Jurgen Klopp’s troops and seeing that the Reds struggle at the back, we predict the hosts will find the net in the midweek fixture. The Reds, on the other hand, played out a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at their Anfield at the weekend, but they could have picked up all three points from the match. Liverpool scored in each of their previous five league fixtures and, taking everything into account, a lively contest is on the cards. You should bear in mind that over 2.5 goals were scored in each of their previous three meetings in the English top flight.
Highligted Player (Berahino):
Saido Berahino was born on 4 August, 1993 in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi. He began his senior career at West Bromwich Albion at age 17, but in the 2011/2012 he was sent on loan to Northampton Town. After ending his loan spells with Brentford and Peterborough United in 2012, the right-footed attacker returned to the Hawthorns. Berahino impressed in the 2014/2015 Premier League campaign, with the English striker scoring 14 goals in 38 appearances for the team. At the end of the season he was on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur, but he eventually stayed at the Hawthorns. Berahino has yet to make his England debut, but he scored ten goals in 11 appearances for England U21 team. It is well known that Berahino is a Manchester United fan. In 2015 he founded his own charity foundation which helps disadvantaged people in Great Britain improve the quality of their lives.
Highlighted Team (Liverpool):
Founded back in 1982, Liverpool are one of England’s and world’s most famous clubs. The Reds hold a high-profile rivalry with Everton and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the Merseyside derby. The Reds welcome their opponents at Anfield and it has to be noted that they have already won 18 first division trophies. Liverpool were on the verge of lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy, but Steven Gerrard slipped in the decider against Chelsea and left the Reds without a title. Liverpool won their last Champions League trophy in 2005, with the team coming from three goals behind to beat Milan in a historic clash in Istanbul. The Reds have clinched five European Cups and it is no surprise they are regarded as one of the greatest European clubs. The likes of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, Paul Ince, Ian Rush, Graeme Souness, Sami Hyypia and Luis Suarez are some of the most notable footballers to have represented the club over the years. The club’s anthem is You’ll Never Walk Alone and their shirt colour is red.
