Our football match prediction:
Sunday’s football match at Stadium of Light pits together Sunderland and Manchester City, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the second half of the season. The Black Cats are desperate to secure yet another Premier League survival, while the Citizens aim to finish the season in top four. Sunderland failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to Everton at the weekend and seeing that they failed to score in previous two league fixtures, we do not believe that the hosts are capable of upsetting Pep Guardiola’s troops on Matchday 27. Manchester City came from behind to beat Monaco (5-3) in the Champions League last 16, first leg, and, no doubt, the visitors are high on confidence ahead of the trip to Sunderland. The Citizens have found their best form of late and, taking everything into account, we predict that they will emerge triumphant in Sunday’s clash.
Highlighted Player (Fabio Borini):
Fabio Borini is an Italian football player who was born on 29 March, 1991. Borini plays as a striker, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well. The Italian footballer began his professional career at Chelsea, but he made no more than four appearances for the capital club. On 9 July 2012 Fabio Borini completed a transfer to Liverpool, but he had a pretty disappointing start to his career at Anfield, scoring just two goals in 25 appearances for the club. The Italian striker spent the 2013/2014 season on loan at Sunderland and he scored seven goals in 32 appearances for the Stadium of Light outfit. As a result, he signed a permanent deal with the Black Cats in August 2015. Speaking of his international career, Borini made his Italy debut on 26 February, 2012 in a friendly with USA. He made Italy Euro 2012 squad as well, but he did not come off the bench at the tournament finals.
Highlighted Team (Manchester City):
Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight. Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), butboth managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097. Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
