Our football match prediction:
Following the narrow defeat to Manchester City, Sunderland looked to be heading for another loss as they were two goals down at Anfield, but Liverpool fans' protest and a mistake by Simon Mignolet allowed the Black Cats to score two late goals and secure a valuable point at Merseyside. However, having largely struggled for large periods of the match, Sam Allardyce's charges could find it hard to match revived Manchester United on Saturday afternoon, especially when we know that Sunderland lost last four home games against top table sides. Meanwhile, the Red Devils are finally showing signs of promise and after they were quite unfortunate not to make it three victories on the bounce at Stamford Bridge, they look a good bet to win at the Stadium of Light and keep their slim Champions League hopes alive. Man Utd recorded a 3-0 triumph in the reverse fixture, while winning 21 of last 29 meetings with the Black Cats (D6 L2).
Highlighted Player (Anthony Martial):
Anthony Martial is a French football player born on the 5th of December 1995 in Lyonnais. Martial started playing for CO Les Ulis before Olympique Lyonnais picked him up. After only 1 season playing for Olympique AS Monaco signed Martial for 3 seasons. After 2 seasons Manchester United transferred Martial for 50 million euro which makes Martial the most expensive teenage football player in the world. Right after Martial’s transfer to Manchester United he made his debut for the French national team on the 4th of September 2015. Martial is known for his speed and agility and being an easy scoring striker. Despite not having a lot of experience on the highest level of football Martial is showing to be very secure about his qualities. After the first couple of games playing for AS Monaco, Manchester United and the French national team Martial is showing to be able to handle the pressure. Anthony Martial didn’t won any big prizes for any of the teams he played for. If the young French striker continues his current form he will be one of the biggest football players in the upcoming years.
Highlighted Team (Sunderland):
Sunderland are a professional football club that have been playing their home games at the Stadium of Light since 1997. The capacity of the stadium is 49,000, but before expansion the original ground capacity was 42,000. Red and White shirts are Sunderland’s trademark and the club’s fiercest rivals are Newcastle United. The two local rivals have been contesting in the Tyne-Wear derby since 1898 and there have always been fireworks in what is one of the greatest derbies in English football. Sunderland were on the verge of dropping to the Championship in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but experienced tactician Sam Allardyce eventually helped the team avoid relegation. The Black Cats have won six First Division trophies (now the Premier League), with the team lifting two FA Cup titles. Sudnerland won their first FA Cup trophy in 1937, with the team beating Prestson North End 3-1 in the title game. The club was founded in 1879 as Sunderland and District Teachers A.F.C.
