Our football match prediction:
Following back-to-back defeats to the likes of Manchester United and Burnley, Sunderland managed to hold high-flying Liverpool to a 2-2 draw on Monday. The Black Cats gave fans some festive cheer, but they need to make a big progress if they are to avoid relegation to the Championship at the end of the season. Sunderland welcome Stoke City at their Stadium of Light on Matchday 21 and we predict that the hosts will leave their hearts on the field in Saturday’s football game. The Potters recorded a routine 2-0 win over Watford on Marko Arnautovic’s return to the starting line-up (suspension) and a victory over Sunderland would see Mark Hughes’ men climb to the top half of the standings. However, seeing that Stoke’s displays on the road leave a lot to be desired, we believe that the two teams will share the spoils at Stadium of Light.
Highlighted Player (Borini):
Fabio Borini is an Italian football player who was born on 29 March, 1991. Borini plays as a striker, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well. The Italian footballer began his professional career at Chelsea, but he made no more than four appearances for the capital club. On 9 July 2012 Fabio Borini completed a transfer to Liverpool, but he had a pretty disappointing start to his career at Anfield, scoring just two goals in 25 appearances for the club. The Italian striker spent the 2013/2014 season on loan at Sunderland and he scored seven goals in 32 appearances for the Stadium of Light outfit. As a result, he signed a permanent deal with the Black Cats in August 2015. Speaking of his international career, Borini made his Italy debut on 26 February, 2012 in a friendly with USA. He made Italy Euro 2012 squad as well, but he did not come off the bench at the tournament finals.
