Our football match prediction:
Sunderland have slim chances of securing the top flight survival. The Black Cats sit in the last position in the Premier League standings and they are on a seven-game winless run in the national championship ahead of the visit of West Ham United. Sunderland failed to score in previous seven league fixtures and, no doubt, they are low on confidence ahead of Saturday’s football match against Slaven Bilic’s team. West Ham desperately needed a win against Swansea City at the weekend and they managed to get one. The capital club put an end to their seven-match winless run in the league and their top flight status is no longer in danger. As we have already mentioned, Sunderland have been struggling in front of goal of late and considering that West Ham are not regarded as good travelers, we predict that fans will see a low-scoring affair at Stadium of Light.
Highlighted Player (Fabio Borini):
Fabio Borini is an Italian football player who was born on 29 March, 1991. Borini plays as a striker, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well. The Italian footballer began his professional career at Chelsea, but he made no more than four appearances for the capital club. On 9 July 2012 Fabio Borini completed a transfer to Liverpool, but he had a pretty disappointing start to his career at Anfield, scoring just two goals in 25 appearances for the club. The Italian striker spent the 2013/2014 season on loan at Sunderland and he scored seven goals in 32 appearances for the Stadium of Light outfit. As a result, he signed a permanent deal with the Black Cats in August 2015. Speaking of his international career, Borini made his Italy debut on 26 February, 2012 in a friendly with USA. He made Italy Euro 2012 squad as well, but he did not come off the bench at the tournament finals.
Highlighted Team (West Ham United):
West Ham United are an English football club based in East London. The club was founded in 1895 and it has to be noted that the club’s name was Thames Ironworks back then. The Hammers were playing their home games at Upton Park from 1904 until 2016, when they moved to the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. West Ham have won three FA Cup trophies (1964, 1975 and 1980) and they were runners-up in 1923 and 2006. The capital club finished the 1985/1986 England first division campaign in third place in the standings and that is the club’s highest placing in the top flight. West Ham United have strong rivalries with fellow London clubs, but Tottenham Hotspur are considered the club’s main rivals. A number of top-class players were part of West Ham in the past and the likes of Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez, Paolo Di Canio, Paul Ince, Julian Dicks, Shaka Hislop, Michael Carrick and Slaven Bilic are some of them.
