Our match prediction:
Mauricio Pochettino has quickly transform Tottenham from perennial underachievers to a well-oiled machinery that has exceeded pre-season predictions by a mile. The FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace remains the only slip-up of late, but it could very well prove a blessing in disguise as Spurs chase Premier League and Europa League trophies. Tottenham have now recorded five league wins in a row to climb within two points of leaders Leicester City and having also hammered very good Fiorentina side in midweek, everything suggests the excellent run of results is going to continue this weekend. Swansea City have finally managed to recover from a shocking start to the season, with back to back wins over Watford and Everton seeing them leave the bottom three, but the Swans have since picked up just two points from next three fixtures. And given that they suffered a home loss to Southampton last time out, we cannot realistically expect them to put a dent into Tottenham’s title hopes.
Highligted Player (Lloris):
Hugo Lloris is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world of football. The French international was born on 26 December, 1986 and he began his senior career at Nice in 2002. After spending six years with les Aiglons, Hugo Lloris signed a contract with fellow Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2008. The 29-year-old goalkeeper made 146 appearances for the French giants, but in 2012 he moved to London. Tottenham Hotspur completed the deal for the impressive shot-stopper on 31 August, 2012 for a fee of €10 million and €5 million variable and, no doubt, he made a right decision when he decided to join the White Hart Lane outfit. Speaking of his individual awards, Hugo Lloris was named Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year on three occasions (2008/2009, 2009/2010 and 2011/2012). The 188-cm-tall goalkeeper earned his 82nd cap for the French national team in the Euro 2016 final against Portugal. However, Eder’s goal spoiled the party of les Tricolores at Stade de France.
