Our football match prediction:
Watford will be looking to put an end to their three-game losing run in the Premier League when they welcome West Ham United at their Vicarage Road Stadium on Matchday 12. The Hornets suffered a 3-2 loss to Everton before the international break, but they could have grabbed something from the match as Tom Cleverley missed a penalty in the dying seconds of the game. Watford, though, sit in the top half of the standings ahead of Sunday’s football game against West Ham and they would be happy with one point from the match. David Moyes aim to mark his West Ham debut with a win over Watford, but seeing that his men sit in the relegation zone at the moment, we predict that the two sides are going to share the spoils at Vicarage Road Stadium. Troy Deeney is suspended for the hosts, whilst West Ham attacker Chicharito is a major doubt.
Highligted Player (Tom Cleverley):
Tom Cleverley started his youth career at Bradford City, but, at the age of 11 he joined Manchester United football academy. The 175-cm-tall midfielder made a great progress during his spell with the Old Trafford outfit and it has to be noted that he made his first-team debut with the Red Devils in a 3-2 win over Manchester City in the 2011 Community Shield. Cleverley, who played for the likes of Leicester City, Watford, Wigan and Aston Villa on loan, scored three goals in 55 appearances in the league for Man Utd and in the summer of 2015 he signed a five-year deal with Everton. The midfielder scored two goals in 32 appearances in the league for the Toffees and he spent the second half of the 2016/2017 season on loan at Watford. On March 31, 2017 Tom Cleverley signed a permanent five-year deal with the Hornets for an undisclosed fee. Speaking of his international career, the Watford footballer made his England debut in a 2-1 win over Italy on August 15, 2012. Cleverly was born in Basingstoke, England on August 12, 1989.
Highlighted Team (West Ham United):
West Ham United are an English football club based in East London. The club was founded in 1895 and it has to be noted that the club’s name was Thames Ironworks back then. The Hammers were playing their home games at Upton Park from 1904 until 2016, when they moved to the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. West Ham have won three FA Cup trophies (1964, 1975 and 1980) and they were runners-up in 1923 and 2006. The capital club finished the 1985/1986 England first division campaign in third place in the standings and that is the club’s highest placing in the top flight. West Ham United have strong rivalries with fellow London clubs, but Tottenham Hotspur are considered the club’s main rivals. A number of top-class players were part of West Ham in the past and the likes of Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez, Paolo Di Canio, Paul Ince, Julian Dicks, Shaka Hislop, Michael Carrick and Slaven Bilic are some of them.
