Our football match prediction:
West Bromwich Albion made a flying start to the season, with the team recording back-to-back wins over Bournemouth and Burnley in the first two games in the national championship. However, the Baggies have not been as impressive in the English top flight of late and they are on a seven-game winless run ahead of Saturday’s football match against Manchester City. Tony Pulis’ men suffered a 1-0 loss to Southampton at the weekend, but it has to be noted that key defender Jonny Evans was forced to leave the pitch in the 32nd minute of the game (groin injury). The Northern Ireland international should recover in time to face Man City, but seeing that the high-flying Citizens do not suit the Baggies, home win should not be considered. Pep Guardiola’s men have been scoring goals for fun in the first half of the season and we predict that they will cement top position in the standings with a win over WBA.
Highlighted Player (Evans):
Originating from Belfast, Jonny Evans is one of the most famous football players from the new generation of the Northern Ireland national team, although numerous injuries prevented the centre-back from showing all he’s got. Coming through the famous Manchester United youth academy, Evans was promoted to the senior set up by club icon Sir Alex Ferguson and he would go on to lift four Premier League trophies with the Red Devils, making over 130 league appearances for the club before moving to West Bromwich Albion in 2015. During his time at Old Trafford, the defender usually played back up to Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, but made quite a few appearances in important games, including 31 Champions League outings. As soon as he was given a chance to impress at Manchester United, Evans was called to the Northern Ireland national team and he has made over 40 appearances on international stage since 2006, helping his country qualify for the Euro 2016 finals.

Highlighted Team (Manchester City):

Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight. Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), butboth managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097. Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
