Our football match prediction:
West Ham United and Manchester City face each other on Matchday 23 in the replay of the FA Cup clash. The Citizens rolled over the capital club in the third round of the FA Cup, meaning that the Hammers are hungry for revenge. Slaven Bilic’s men made a slow start to the season, but the team’s recent performances are anything but poor. West Ham proved their worth in a 3-1 win over Middlesbrough at the weekend, but they face a difficult task in Wednesday’s football match against Pep Guardiola’s troops. Man City dropped a two-goal advantage in a draw with Tottenham at their Etihad Stadium and, as things stand now, the star-studded team are unlikely to win the national championship. The Citizens are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the game against West Ham and we predict that the hosts will have a number of opportunities to attack their rivals on the break.
Highlighted Player (Mark Noble):
Mark Noble is a professional footballer who plays for West Ham United. He was born on 8 May, 1987 and he began his youth career at the age of 13. Mark Noble made his debut for the West Ham United senior team in August 2004 in a 2-0 win over Southend. He plays as a midfielder and is considered one of the best penalty takers in the Premier League. In 2014 Mark Noble was ranked in the top five penalty takers in Europe. Noble won the Football League Championship twice with West Ham United (2004/2005, 2011/2012) and, speaking of his individual honours, he won the Hammer of the Year award on two occasions (2011/2012, 2013/2014). Mark Noble has yet to earn his first cap for the England national team. However, it has to be noted that the West Ham United midfielder scored three goals in 20 appearances for England U21. Following some impressive showings in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, the midfielder was tipped to make England’s Euro 2016 squad, but he eventually missed out.
Highlighted Team (Manchester City):
Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight. Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), butboth managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097. Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
