Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Athletic Club have been showing signs of improvement of late. The Lions have never dropped to Segunda Division and, no doubt, they are determined to secure yet another La Liga survival. The Lions outplayed Girona in their last home game in the Spanish top flight and, taking everything into account, we predict that they are going to beat Valladolid at their San Mames Barria. La Pucela experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to Atletico Madrid and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Athletic Club’s party in the Basque Country. Aritz Aduriz is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts against Real Valladolid. In their last meeting at San Mames Barria Athletic Club recorded a 4-2 win over Real Valladolid and, taking everything into account, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed.

Highlighted Player (Aritz Aduriz):

Aritz Aduriz is another Spanish footballer that can be placed in the late bloomers category, having played his best football after the age of 30. The cultured striker has spent his entire career in native Spain, and he was showing promise from the moment he first tasted senior football.
The Basque forward arrived at Athletic Bilbao via Aurrera and Bilbao Athletic, but the first spell at San Mames proved quite disappointing and he went on to kick-start his career at Real Valladolid. Aduriz later returned to Athletic Bilbao to score 22 goals in 82 league outings, and then represented Mallorca and Valencia before returning for the third spell. Little did he know that it would prove to be the most successful stint of his career, with the forward producing some amazing displays in La liga and Europa League, scoring over 95 goals in first four years upon rejoining los Leones.
That proved enough for the striker to end a six-year exile from the national team as Aduriz featured in March 2016 friendlies vs Italy and Romania, scoring on his return against the Azzurri to prove age should not matter when the quality is there.
Highlighted Team (Valladolid):

Real Valladolid is a Spanish club based in Valladolid, the part of the autonomous community of Castille and Leon. Founded in 1928, Real Valladolid play their home matches at Jose Zorilla, the venue that has the capacity 26,512. La Pucela have yet to win the La Liga title, but it is important to note that they finished fourth at the end of the 1962/1963 season.
Real Valladolid made it to the Spanish Cup final on two occasions (1949/1950, 1988/1989). In 1984 they won Copa de la Liga (League Cup), which is considered the team’s biggest success. Speaking of their European records, Real Valladolid participated in the 1989/1990 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup quarter-finals.
La Pucela are well known for their purple and white shirts, but they are known for some top-class footballers as well. The likes of Diego Costa, Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Borja Fernandez, Rene Higuita, Luis Garcia and Aritz Aduriz played for Real Valladolid in the past.
