Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
After a confidence-restoring victory against Getafe in the previous round (1-0), Athletic Bilbao await Villarreal hoping to continue their winning run against El Submarino Amarillo on home turf. Los Leones are putting up rather good performances in Primera at San Mames of late, they are on a seven-game undefeated streak and have been scoring for fun in recent home encounters, mostly thanks to Aritz Aduriz (13) and Inaki Williams (7). The dynamic duo will pose the biggest threat to Villarreal in the upcoming clash, but Marcelino’s side will certainly not be without response. El Madrigal outfit have been highly productive on their travels lately, scoring two goals in each of their last three away matches. Bearing in mind that Roberto Soldado and his teammates are trying to secure a Champions League spot this term, we predict them to bring hell on Athletic defense. If the two teams repeat the performance from the Copa del Rey earlier this season, we are in for a lot of fireworks in this clash.
