Our football match prediction:
Atletico Madrid have been having their ups and downs at the start of the season. Los Rojiblancos rolled over Las Palmas (5-1) on Matchday 2, but they dropped four points in draws against the likes of Girona and Valencia. The capital club failed to impress in Saturday’s football match against los Che, but it has to be noted that key attacker Antoine Griezmann missed the game through suspension. The French striker returns to the starting line-up against Malaga and that is the main reason why we predict that hosts will return to winning ways. Los Boquerones, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 loss to Girona in their first away game of the season and they are unlikely to spoil Atletico Madrid’s party at Estadio Vicente Calderon. Malaga chiefs sold several first-team regulars in the summer transfer window and it is no surprise the Andalusians are seen as big underdogs in Saturday’s football match against Atletico Madrid.
Highlighted Player (Filipe Luis):
Filipe Luis is not just a household name in Brazil; he needs no introduction in Spain and England where he played for various clubs. The left back is known for his tireless approach to the game and an unflinching attitude to protect his goal. Luis started his career with Brazilian club Figueirense and moved across clubs. It was only when he moved to Deportivo La Coruna in 2008 that he came into limelight. After a successful stint with Deportivo, he was snapped up by Atletico Madrid where he won several trophies including La Liga. He was a key member of Diego Simeone’s team that reached the finals of 2014 Champions League. Filipe Luis then joined Chelsea in 2014 but returned to Atletico only a year later. He made his national debut in 2009 and has so far earned 22 caps. Having already won the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, the 30-year-old defender is an important player for Brazil.
