Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Barcelona play host to Deportivo Alaves at their Camp Nou in the opening match of the new 2018/2019 La Liga campaign. Barca were struggling in pre-season, but it has to be noted that coach Ernesto Valverde mixed the squad in each and every match at the 2018 International Champions Cup. The Catalan giants are determined to defend their La Liga trophy and we predict they are going to adopt an attack-minded approach in Saturday’s football game. The likes of Malcolm, Vidal and Lenglet joined the club in the summer transfer window, but , as always all eyes will be on Leo Messi when Barca take on Deportivo Alaves at their Camp Nou. The Basques, on the other hand, are eager to secure yet another top-flight survival, but they face an uphill task in the season opener against Barca, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home.

Highlighted Player (Arturo Vidal):

Arturo Vidal is a Chilean international who started his senior career at Colo-Colo. In 2007 he moved to Europe, signing a deal with Bayer Leverkusen. After making 117 league appearances for the Bundesliga outfit from 2007 to 2011, he joined Juventus on 22 July, 2011 for a fee of €10.5 million.
Vidal won four Serie A trophies with the Bianconeri and he participated in the Champions League final against Barcelona on 6 June, 2015. The Serie A giants, though, were beaten by Barca in the title game. In the summer of 2015 he moved to Bayern Munich and he won the Bundesliga trophies with Pep Guardiola’s team in the 2015/2016 season. Speaking of his international career, Vidal won two Copa America trophies with Chile (2015, 2016).
The Chilean ace is a central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both as defensive at attacking midfielder as well. His contract with Bayern Munich expires on 30 June, 2019.
Highlighted Team (Alaves):

Alaves is a Spanish football club located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava. The club were founded in 1921 and they play their home games at Estadio Mendizorrotza. The capacity of the stadium is 19,840 and it has to be noted that it is the third oldest stadium in Spanish football. After spending several years in the Spanish Segunda Division, los Babazorros returned to the top flight in 2016.
The color of Alaves’ home kit is blue and white and the club’s local rivals are fellow Basque sides Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Osasuna and Eibar. Alaves made it to the UEFA CUP final in 2001, but they were beaten by Liverpool 5-4 in a thrilling football clash. Anyhow, that is still regarded as the club’s biggest success. Los Babazorros booked their place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on four occasions and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy.
