Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
After dropping two points in a 1-1 draw with Valencia at Estadio de Mestalla, Barcelona will be looking to start a new winning run in La Liga when they face Celta Vigo at their Camp Nou. The Catalan giants are leading the chase for the domestic trophy and a win over Os Celeste should see them cement top position in the standings. Leo Messi had goal controversially ruled out in the 1-1 draw with los Che and, no doubt, he is eager to add more goals to his account. Barca are a real force to be reckoned with at home and seeing that Celta Vigo suffered back-to-back defeats to the likes of Malaga and Sevilla in previous two away games in the national championship, we are tempted to put our money on Ernesto Valverde’s troops. In their last meeting at Camp Nou Barca hammered Celta 5-0.
Highlighted Player (Andre Gomes):
Andre Filipe Tavares Gomes is a Portuguese footballer who represented the likes of Porto, Boavista and Benfica during his youth career, but eventually signed a professional deal with the Eagles. Even if he hadn’t made too many first team appearances for the Portuguese giants, the midfielder saw his economic rights sold to a private company in January 2014, and the deal eventually saw him join Spanish giants Valencia. The attacking midfielder immediately nailed down a regular starting berth at Mestalla, proving his undoubted potential, and catching the eye of top Italian sides such as Juventus and Napoli. Gomes has yet to establish himself as an important player for the Portugal national team, but he has made several appearances under Fernando Santos and is expected to play a key role for the Selecao in the future. Possessing impressive technical skills and capable of covering a number of positions in midfield, Gomes is a modern midfielder who has been showing incredible maturity for his age, so no wonder he is predicted a bright future in the game.
