Our match prediction:
Fresh from winning the Spanish Super Cup, Barcelona kick off the new league campaign by playing host to Real Betis at their Camp Nou. Going into the new season as defending champions, the Catalans will be looking to start with a bang, and continue the rich vein of form exhibited in the last couple of games. And while Brazilian superstar Neymar remains on international duty, the likes of Leo Messi and Luis Suarez are raising their form and it is not difficult to predict they will be a handful for opposition defenders. Following some mixed showings from last season, los Verdiblancos have signed the likes of Roman Zozulya, Felipe Gutierrez, Aissa Mandi and Jonas Martin, among others, and while they might be able to register a goal at Camp Nou, there will be no match to star-studded Barcelona side that are slowly improving their showings after some stuttering performances in pre-season.
