Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on Camp Nou when Barcelona and Real Madrid face each other in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. The Catalan giants will be without Brazilian star Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain and many people believe that he is going to be sorely missed in the 2017/2018 season. The MSN era is over at Barca, but, no doubt, the club chiefs are going to find an adequate replacement for Neymar before the transfer window closes. Real Madrid, on the other hand, did remarkably well to win both La Liga and the Champions League last term and it is no surprise they are regarded as favourites to win the Spanish Super Cup. However, seeing that Barcelona are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we predict that both teams will find the net in Sunday’s football match at Camp Nou.
Highlighted Player (Messi):
Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. At age 10 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, but having realised his potential at a young age, Barcelona decided to pay for his treatment. Messi joined Barca in 2001 and he has been playing for the Camp Nou outfit ever since. The Argentine magician has won eight La Liga trophies with Barca and he helped the Catalan giants lift no less than four Champions League titles (2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2014/2015). In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.
Highlighted Team (Real Madrid):
Real Madrid are a Spanish football club based in Madrid. Real Madrid participate in La Liga (Primera Division) and they have won 32 domestic titles. On the other hand, los Blancos have won 11 European Cup titles and that is the main reason why they are considered the biggest football club in the world. Real Madrid play their home matches at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the capacity of the stadium is 84,454. Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s most successful footballer in the 21st century and the Portuguese superstar has won two Golden Ball awards. The likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, David Beckham and Iker Casillas are star players who were part of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the past. Real Madrid’s bitterest rivals are Barcelona, but the rivalry between local rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is big as well. Real Madrid’s home kit is white and, as a result, the team’s nickname is los Blancos (the Whites).
