Our football match prediction:
Celta Vigo were on the verge of beating Standard Liege in Thursday’s Europa League game, but the Red Devils eventually scored a late equaliser and spoiled Celta’s party at Estadio de Balaidos. Os Celeste have slim chances of qualifying for the Europa League knockout stages and, on the other hand, they suffered a 1-0 loss to Eibar in their last league match. Sunday’s football game against Granada could be the turning point for Eduardo Berizzo’s troops and we predict that the Argentine tactician is going to field the best possible side against los Granadinos. The rock-bottom team are eyeing their first win of the season, but despite the fact that they managed to hold Valencia to a draw at the weekend, there is every chance the visitors will return home empty-handed. A man to watch in the home team will be Iago Aspas, who has netted eight goals in all competitions this term.
Highlighted Player (Guidetti):
John Guidetti is one of Sweden’s most talented forwards and the man tipped to replace superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the national team. The highly rated footballer left Brommapojkarna soon after being promoted to the first team set-up, joining Premier League giants Manchester City. And while he never got a chance to shine at Etihad Stadium, Guidetti proved a great deal of potential during loan spells with Feyenoord and Celtic, and eventually earned a permanent contract with La Liga high flyers Celta Vigo. The talented striker has yet to nail down a regular starting berth at Balaidos, but he has been using the time spent on the pitch wisely, and continued his goalscoring form in Spain’s top flight. Playing alongside Nolito and Iago Aspas at club level as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Berg on international stage is bound to further aid the player’s development, and many believe he will go on to become one of Sweden’s best ever strikers. Guidetti has so far only made a handful of appearances for Blagult, but that is bound to change in years to come.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit. Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well. The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
