Our football match prediction:
Thanks to a 4-1 win over Sevilla Real Madrid moved one step closer to winning the La Liga title. Los Blancos are still level on points with Barcelona, but a win over Celta Vigo in Wednesday’s postponed fixture would see the capital club regain top position in the standings. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in the victory over los Sevillanos and all eyes will be on the Portuguese attacker when Real Madrid face Celta Vigo at Estadio de Balaidos. Eduardo Berizzo’s men failed to eliminate Manchester United in the Europa League semis, but, taking everything into account, they are enjoying a very successful season. Celta Vigo, though, have nothing to play for in Wednesday’s football match and we predict that the Spanish giants will pick up all three points from the game. In their last meeting in Galicia Real Madrid recorded a 3-1 win over Os Celeste.
Highlighted Player (Guidetti):
John Guidetti is one of Sweden’s most talented forwards and the man tipped to replace superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the national team. The highly rated footballer left Brommapojkarna soon after being promoted to the first team set-up, joining Premier League giants Manchester City. And while he never got a chance to shine at Etihad Stadium, Guidetti proved a great deal of potential during loan spells with Feyenoord and Celtic, and eventually earned a permanent contract with La Liga high flyers Celta Vigo. The talented striker has yet to nail down a regular starting berth at Balaidos, but he has been using the time spent on the pitch wisely, and continued his goalscoring form in Spain’s top flight. Playing alongside Nolito and Iago Aspas at club level as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Berg on international stage is bound to further aid the player’s development, and many believe he will go on to become one of Sweden’s best ever strikers. Guidetti has so far only made a handful of appearances for Blagult, but that is bound to change in years to come.
Highlighted Team (Real Madrid):
Real Madrid are a Spanish football club based in Madrid. Real Madrid participate in La Liga (Primera Division) and they have won 32 domestic titles. On the other hand, los Blancos have won 11 European Cup titles and that is the main reason why they are considered the biggest football club in the world. Real Madrid play their home matches at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the capacity of the stadium is 84,454. Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s most successful footballer in the 21st century and the Portuguese superstar has won two Golden Ball awards. The likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, David Beckham and Iker Casillas are star players who were part of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the past. Real Madrid’s bitterest rivals are Barcelona, but the rivalry between local rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is big as well. Real Madrid’s home kit is white and, as a result, the team’s nickname is los Blancos (the Whites).
