Our football match prediction:
Buoyed by the Europa League win over Genk, Athletic Bilbao square off against Espanyol on day 11 of the new La Liga campaign. Aritz Aduriz scored all five goals in the 5-3 win over the Belgian outfit and all eyes will be on the experienced attacker when Athletic Bilbao face Espanyol at RCDE Stadium. The Lions dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Osasuna at the weekend and we predict that they will leave their hearts on the field in Sunday’s football match. Espanyol head into the game following a 1-0 loss at Real Betis and they aim to extend their unbeaten run in La Liga to five games. It is well known that los Periquitos have turned their RCDE Stadium into a real fortress and, taking everything into account, both teams should find the net on Matchday 11. When the two sides met in Barcelona last season Espanyol recorded a 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao, with the Catalan outfit coming from behind to beat the Lions.
Highligted Player (Hernan Perez):
Hernan Perez is a 27-year-old Paraguayan winger who plays for Spanish club RCD Espanyol in Spanish La Liga. Perez was a late bloomer having built up his career for two different youth clubs before finding his feet with Tacuary. He made his top division debut in 2007 with them and was subsequently signed by fellow league side Club Libertad. But a serious right knee injury limited his game time at Libertad where he rarely appeared for the capital club. Perez’s redemption came at Spanish club Villarreal in 2009 where he quickly established himself in the main squad. Last year, he joined Espanyol and started showing glimpses of his skills. Perez was one of the best players for Paraguayan under-20 team at the 2009 South American Championship helping them finish in second place. His full senior debut came in the next year when he was selected to the 2011 Copa America. So far, Perez has won 26 caps.
