Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Getafe and Atletico Madrid take on each other at Coliseum Alfonson Perez in the local derby. Los Rojiblancos came from behind to beat Eibar at the weekend and they will be looking to keep their title hopes alive with a triumph over los Azulones in the suburbs of Madrid. Getafe are on a three-match losing run in La Liga and given that they produced an awful display in a 3-0 loss at Malaga, it is not difficult to predict that they fail to put an end to the negative trend on Sunday. Atletico Madrid need to keep on winning if they are to stay in the race for the trophy and considering that Diego Simeone welcomes Juanfran, Diego Godin and Filipe Luis back to the starting line-up, we are tempted to put our money on the Estadio Vicente Calderon outfit this time out. Los Rojiblancos are eyeing their sixth consecutive win over los Azulones.
Highlighted Player (Fernando Torres):
Fernando Torres is a product of Atletico Madrid’s youth school. The 186-cm-tall attacker scored 82 goals in 214 league appearances for the capital club and in 2007 he moved to England. Torres signed a deal with Liverpool and he played for the Anfield outfit from 2007 to 2011. On 31 January, 2011 he signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with fellow Premier League club Chelsea and it has to be noted that he won the Champions League trophy with the Blues in 2012. The Spanish attacker clinched the 2012/2013 Europa League title with Chelsea as well, but on 31 August, 2014 he joined Serie A side Milan on loan. Torres made his debut for the Rossoneri on 20 September, 2014, coming as a substitute in a 1-0 loss to Juventus. The Spanish forward returned to Atletico Madrid on 29 December, 2014 and he scored 11 goals for los Rojiblancos in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign.
