Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
As expected, Getafe suffered a 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano at the weekend and, as a result, they dropped to the second half of the La Liga standings. Los Azulones, though, are eight points clear of the relegation zone ahead of Monday’s football match against Malaga and they are on the right track to secure yet another top flight survival. The capital club have been impressive at their Coliseum Alfonso Perez this season and they are widely expected to return to winning ways on Matchday 19. Los Boquerones, on the other hand, sit in the relegation zone in the La Liga table ahead of the trip to Madrid and we do not believe that they are capable of upsetting Getafe on Monday evening. You should know that los Azulones are eyeing their fifth home win of the season, speaking of the national championship.
Highlighted Player (Jefferson Montero):
The 26-year-old Jefferson Montero is a lightning quick winger who plays for Swansea City in the English Premier League. After starting his career in the youth ranks at Emelec, Montero made his senior professional debut with them. But his first real impact was at Independiente Valle, which brought him a contract with Villarreal in 2009. Montero, however, struggled to establish himself at the Spanish club and spent his time on loans with Levante and Real Betis. He then moved to Liga MX club Morelia, where he would go on to play more than 60 games in two years. His pace and guile caught the attention of Swansea who brought him to Premier League in 2014. Montero was part of the 2007 Pan American Games winning Ecuador team – the first international trophy for the nation. He made his full debut in 2010 and has 56 caps and 10 goals to his credit so far.
