Our football match prediction:
Getafe play host to Tenerife in the La Liga promotion play-offs second leg determined to overturn a one-goal deficit at their Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
Getafe and Tenerife travel back to Madrid to lock horns in a second leg of the Segunda play-offs and with a place in La Liga at stake this promises to be a closely-contested match. Such was the first leg anyway, in which the islanders grabbed a goal lead despite never truly being able to convince us of their ability. Tenerife did have a couple of chances to record a higher margin win, but Getafe will now rest their hopes upon the slender deficit which by no means is unreachable. Getafe will need to put in a much-improved performance defensively and protect their flanks from the speed and skill of Tenerife’s counter-attack abilities if they are to make anything out of the second home leg. The hosts will be without Cala who picked up a hamstring injury, while Molinero received an ankle knock. On the other side, Tenerife’s key man Suso walked off the pitch with a painful look on his face and will be sorely missed if he fails to recover in time for the re-match.
