Our football match prediction:
Granada were on the verge of playing out a goalless draw with Leganes in Saturday’s relegation six-pointer, but they eventually suffered a 1-0 defeat to Asier Garitano’s team. Los Granadinos are eyeing their fourth consecutive win at their Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, but beating star-studded Atletico Madrid is easier said than done. Granada chiefs did well to reinforce the squad in January transfer window, but we do not believe that the relegation strugglers are capable of claiming a major scalp on Matchday 27. Los Rojiblancos recorded a routine 3-0 win over Valencia at the weekend and seeing that key attacker Antoine Griezmann has found his goal-scoring touch of late, we predict that the visitors will extend their winning run in La Liga. Atletico Madrid are eager to book their place in the Champions League and there is every chance Diego Simeone will field the best possible side in Saturday's football game against Granada.
Highlighted Player (Javi Marquez):
Javi Marquez is a professional football player who was born in Barcelona on 11 May, 1986. The Spanish midfielder started his youth career at his home-town club Espanyol and he continued playing for los Periquitos at senior level. He made his La Liga debut on 19 September, 2009 in a 3-2 win over Deportivo La Coruna. Three months later Marquez scored his first goal for Espanyol in the Spanish top flight as he found the net for the Catalan outfit in a 2-0 victory over Almeria. In March 2010 Javi Marquez broke his leg, but he recovered in time for the start of the 2010/2011 La Liga campaign. After playing 53 games for Espanyol, the midfielder joined Mallorca in 2010, but he made no more than 25 appearances for the club. After ending his loan spell with Elche, he joined Granada in the summer of 2014 and he has been playing for the Andalusian side ever since. Javi Marquez has a contract with Granada which expires in June, 2017.
Highlighted Team (Atletico Madrid):
Atletico Madrid are a Spanish team that plays in Primera Division (La Liga). Los Rojiblancos or los Colchoneros play their home matches at Estadio Vicente Calderon, which holds up to 54,960 spectators. Atletico Madrid have won 10 La Liga titles, but they have yet to lift the European Cup (Champions League) trophy. Los Rojblancos have won 10 Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) trophies and it has to be noted that they defeated their bitter local rivals Real Madrid in the 2012/2013 Spanish Cup final. The rivalry between the two capital clubs is pretty big and El Madrileno is regarded as one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Atletico Madrid played two Champions League finals under Diego Simeone, but they failed to beat Real Madrid in the title games (2013/2014 and 2015/2016). However, the Argentine tactician helped Atletico Madrid win the La Liga trophy in 2014 and, no doubt, he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the capital club.
