Our football match prediction:
Granada desperately needed a win against Real Sociedad at the weekend, but they failed to get one. Los Granadinos failed to avoid relegation to the Championship, but their pride will be at stake in Saturday’s football match against star-studded Real Madrid. The Andalusian outfit, though, are on a five-game losing run in the league and they are unlikely to upset the Spanish giants at their Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes. Real Madrid recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win over Valencia at the weekend, but Barcelona are still leading the chase for the La Liga title. However, los Blancos have one game in hand and that is giving fans a reason for optimism, speaking of the title race. Zinedine Zidane is unlikely to mix the squad against Granada and, taking everything into account, we predict that Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. will pick up all three points from the match.
Highlighted Player (Javi Marquez):
Javi Marquez is a professional football player who was born in Barcelona on 11 May, 1986. The Spanish midfielder started his youth career at his home-town club Espanyol and he continued playing for los Periquitos at senior level. He made his La Liga debut on 19 September, 2009 in a 3-2 win over Deportivo La Coruna. Three months later Marquez scored his first goal for Espanyol in the Spanish top flight as he found the net for the Catalan outfit in a 2-0 victory over Almeria. In March 2010 Javi Marquez broke his leg, but he recovered in time for the start of the 2010/2011 La Liga campaign. After playing 53 games for Espanyol, the midfielder joined Mallorca in 2010, but he made no more than 25 appearances for the club. After ending his loan spell with Elche, he joined Granada in the summer of 2014 and he has been playing for the Andalusian side ever since. Javi Marquez has a contract with Granada which expires in June, 2017.
Highlighted Team (Real Madrid):
Real Madrid are a Spanish football club based in Madrid. Real Madrid participate in La Liga (Primera Division) and they have won 32 domestic titles. On the other hand, los Blancos have won 11 European Cup titles and that is the main reason why they are considered the biggest football club in the world. Real Madrid play their home matches at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the capacity of the stadium is 84,454. Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s most successful footballer in the 21st century and the Portuguese superstar has won two Golden Ball awards. The likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, David Beckham and Iker Casillas are star players who were part of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the past. Real Madrid’s bitterest rivals are Barcelona, but the rivalry between local rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is big as well. Real Madrid’s home kit is white and, as a result, the team’s nickname is los Blancos (the Whites).
