Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Huesca will be aiming to put an end to their four-game losing run in La Liga when they host Girona at their Estadio El Alcoraz on day 7 of the new La Liga campaign. The newcomers were totally outplayed by Atletico Madrid at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano and they must be low on confidence ahead of the visit of Girona. In their previous home game in La Liga Huesca suffered a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad and, no doubt, they should be happy with one point from Sunday’s football match. The Catalan side, on the other hand, did well to hold Barcelona to a 2-2 draw at Camp Nou in their last away match, but it has to be noted that Barca played with ten men on the field in the second half. Girona are undisputedly more of a team than Huesca and seeing that the Catalans defeated Villarreal on the road earlier this term, away win should be considered.

Highlighted Player (Gonzalo Melero):

Gonzalo Melero is a Spanish footballer born in Madrid on January 2, 1994. Melero’s main position is attacking midfielder, but he plays as a central midfielder as well. The Spaniard started his youth career at Zona Norte and in the summer of 2004 he was spotted by Real Madrid scouts. Melero did not hesitate and he joined the famous Spanish club.
In the 2013/2014 season the 183-cm-tall midfielder played for Real Madrid C, scoring 7 goals in 37 appearances for the team in the process. The following season he played for Real Madrid B, but he made no more than 6 appearances for Castilla in Segunda Division. In 2015 he decided to change the club, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with fellow Segunda Division side Ponferrardina.
Despite establishing himself as a first-team regular with la Ponfe, Gonzalo Melero joined Huesca on July 27, 2016. The Spanish midfielder impressed in the 2017/2018 season with Leo Franco’s troops, scoring 16 goals in 38 appearances in the process.
Highlighted Team (Girona):

After several unsuccessful attempts, finally secured promotion to Primera Division at the end of the 2016/2017 season. The Catalan outfit finished the campaign in second place in the standings, 14 points behind Levante and only two clear of third-placed Getafe. Girona play their home games at Montilivi and the capacity of the venue is 9.286.
Speaking of the club history, Girona were founded in the café Norat in La Rambla of Girona on July 23, 1930 and they played their first official game against Colonia Artigas. A number of Spanish coaches were in charge of the team in the past, but it has to be noted that Uruguayan tactician Dagoberto Moll (1965/1966) and Karoly Plattko (1948/1949) of Hungary were in charge of the club as well.
The Catalan team wear white shirts with red stripes when playing at home, while the colour of their shorts is blue. The team’s away kits are blue and black and Sporting Gijon are considered one of Girona’s fiercest rivals.
