Our football match prediction:
Despite producing a fine display in Wednesday’s football match against Sevilla, Las Palmas eventually suffered a 1-0 loss to Eduardo Berizzo’s troops at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. However, los Amarillos have been improving their game week by week and it is no surprise they are seen as favourites to win Sunday’s clash against Leganes. Las Palmas did well to beat Athletic Bilbao in previous home game in La Liga and given the quality of Manolo Marquez’s squad, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts this time out. Leganes do not seem to be on top of their game at the moment and seeing that they failed to score in previous two league fixtures, the visitors are likely to return to the suburbs of Madrid empty-handed. In their last meeting in the Spanish elite division Leganes recorded a 3-0 win over Las Palmas, meaning that the hosts are hungry for revenge.
Highlighted Player (Oussama Tannane):
Oussama Tannane is a Morocco footballer who plays for Saint Etienne as a winger. Tannane played for Heerenveen in the 2012/2013 Eredivisie campaign and at the end of the season he moved to Heracles. The pacey winger scored 16 goals in 53 appearances for Heracles from 2013 to 2016 and he joined Ligue 1 side Saint Etienne in January, 2016. Tannane impressed on his Saint Etienne debut, scoring and providing two assists for his teammates in a 4-1 triumph over Bordeaux. Despite playing for Netherlands U21 team in the past, he represents Morocco on the international stage nowadays. Tannane made his debut for the Morocco national team on 26 March, 2016 in a 1-0 victory over Cape Verde. The Saint Etienne footballer played for the likes of Zeeburgia, Ajax, Utrecht, PSV and Utrecht during his youth career.
Highlighted Team (Leganes):
Leganes are a Spanish football club that have mostly been playing in lower leagues. Los Pepineros play their home games at Batarque (Madrid) and the capacity of the stadium is just 8,138. Leganes secured their promotion to the Spanish La Liga for the first time ever in 2016 and, no doubt, that is considered the club’s biggest success. Leganes’ bitterest rivals are fellow capital club Getafe and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the South Madrid derby. The colour of the team’s home kit is white and blue, whilst their away kits are green. The likes of Pierre Webo, Samuel Eto’o, Ivan Zarandona, Jose Chamot, Catanha, Ruben Falcon, Jordi Lardin and Pedro Lago are famous players who were part of the Batarque outfit in the past. Lady Maria Victoria Pavon is the first female president in the history of the club and she has been in charge of the club since 2009.
