Our football match prediction:
Thanks to a 2-1 win over Deportivo Alaves Granada managed to keep their hopes of securing the La Liga survival alive. The club chiefs reinforced the squad in the January transfer window and, no doubt, los Granadinos are capable of avoiding relegation to the Spanish second tier. Lucas Alcaraz’s men take on Leganes in the relegation six-pointer on Matchday 26 and a win over the newcomers should see them move away from bottom three. However, seeing that Granada’s performances on the travels leave a lot to be desired, away win should not be considered. Leganes crushed Deportivo La Coruna in their last home fixture in La Liga, but they failed to spoil Valencia’s party at Estadio de Mestalla on Tuesday evening and their top flight status is still in danger. Taking everything into account, the two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we predict that they will share the spoils in Saturday’s football match.
Highlighted Player (Martin Mantovani):
After spending his youth career at Banfield, Kimberley and Cadetes San Martin, Martin Mantovani signed for Atletico Madrid in 2006. The Argentine defender played seven games for Atletico Madrid B in the 2009/2010 season and he joined Cultural Leonesa at the end of the season. He made 32 appearances for Leonesa in the 2010/2011 season and in 2011 he moved to Atletico Baleares. Despite establishing himself as a starter at Atletico Baleares, he decided to join Oviedo in 2012. He played for los Azules in the 2012/2013 campaign and at the end of the season he was sent on loan to Leganes. After impressing with Leganes in the 2013/2014 campaign, the club chiefs decided to sign a permanent deal with the Argentine centre back. He played regularly for the club in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign and, no doubt, he helped the team secure promotion to Spanish elite division. Martin Mantovani was born on 11 August, 1984 in San Miguel. Mantovani’s contract with Leganes expires on 30 June, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Granada):
Granada are an Andalusian football club that plays in Spanish La Liga. The club were founded on 14 April, 1931 and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy. El Grana, though, booked their place in the Spanish Cup final in 1959, but Barcelona proved to be a big catch for the Andalusian outfit. Granada host their rivals at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, the stadium that was built in 1995. The capacity of the stadium is 23,934. Granada’s main rivals are fellow Andalusian team Sevilla, but Real Betis are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well. The likes of Yacine Brahimi, Juan Aguero, Gustavo Benitez, Pahinho, Denis Milar, Julio Montero Castillo, Capi, Cesar and Jose Mingorance are famous players that were part of the Estadio El Sadar outfit in the past. The original colour of Granada’s kits were blue and white, but after the Spanish Civil War the club chiefs bought new ones (red and white).
